-----------

1) issue feedback

"An exciting issue on identity with great stories and images (!) by Susan Gibb , Len Kuntz Christian Bell and others. Dorothee Lang's got a habit of slowly releasing stories into the wild, like setting tamed beasts free. this lot proved itself to be up to the raw reality." - Marcus Speh (via facebook)

"Really a diverse and surprising range of perspectives on the theme. I like that the first two poems are so "authorly" - blog and bio related! I hadn't really thought about that aspect of identity, an obvious one, in front of me.... I like Grace's blog. it's speaking to me this morning." - Rose Hunter (via mail) + cover image in large as "Foto del Dia"

[Alternate Timelines]: I really (!) love this poem and the photo! Well done to you both ! I posted a link on my wall. And to BPR so glad you are posting a few at a time. Makes it easier to sit down and enjoy :-) ! - Cathrine Lødøen (via facebook)

The new issue of BluePrintReview is on the theme of Identity and yo, on the first page there's Bygones - a photo of mine, one of my absolute favourites, accompanying a poem by Michelle Hartman . Issue 26 is going live by stages, with the first three features out now. And it's quirky, endlessly allusive and beautiful, as always. - Jean Morris, blog post: "Elsewhere"

"I'm reading the new stories piece-meal as usual and just finished "My Mother, Marilyn Monroe" which I found touching, original and funny. I'm just honored that my scribblings have found their way into such distinguished company." & later: "I just read "Fireworks" by Christian Bell. Magnificent pieces, evocative, sinewy prose." - Jónas Knútsson (via mail)

3) on editing the identity issue

some notes on how the idea for this issue came up, and how it developed, combined with reflections on identity, individuality, and crowds - all this, in form of an e-logue between regular contributor Steve Wing and editor Dorothee Lang:
