the love of the fish

We offer each other
the love of the fish
gracefully slipping through mud
believing each breath carrying
the clay, this cosmos--
the colors and shadows gently share
our air, the light is drawn to us
casting our lives in fluid fire
releasing boundaries
we float above flares in our seas
of silence, listening
for the ribbon of blues
the beauty wail
the dance of life...
