“The Girl in the Black Sweater” is the chapbook portion of a longer work of the same name. With a growing daughter and a wife falling apart daily, “The Girl in the Black Sweater” narrates how a man creates an affair with the perfect non-existent girl in order to break the monotony with his mostly invisible wife and the daughter who he feels never should have been.
