Big Bang Cause Unknown

The rules allow the beginning to be
a high-voltage blues climax
at the deepest level.
Then just when you think
you've got it penned down,
it flips back and forth
without logic or rhyme.

Open system.

Black on white, white surrounds
black, symbol in sound,
ground struggling into form
like an unfolding surprise.

And the word is power.

No such thing exists
beyond the struggle.
So we embrace
action, mystery, intrigue,
and above all, asymmetry,
which explains
why the beginning is so neat
and the end is so
